The one hour debate was held by radio station KKMS, AM 980 in Minneapolis. You can download the entire debate from the KKMS website at: http://www.kkmslive.com/MP3/15013108-Simmons%20&%20Myers.MP3 An interesting note, the subject of the debate was supposed to Creationism versus Evolution and both sides would present and argue their case. Dr. Myers got word just minutes before the debate that the format was changed. Interestingly, he put Dr. Simmons in his place for having little or know understanding of the fossil records.

I listened to the whole "debate" and felt initially that he was put in an unfair situation by having the format changed at the last minute but I later felt that he did a great job defending evolution. Also, I love the fact that he called the guy "ignorant" and the moderators were asking him to keep it civil.

But, they want this phantom idea taught in schools... The one they refuse to defend. What REAL idea is not worth defending... Only Christians can't defend any of their ideas. Apr 19, 2008 - This is one of my pet peeves. When I call someone ignorant, they always say that I am being mean. I wish people would learn the meaning of the word ignorant, it is NOT a derogatory term. I am ignorant of most things. All of us are. So, here is this doctor that does not understand basic vocabulary, is he a doctor like Kent Hovind was a doctor?

The morons best defense of his own point is how ignorant he is about evolution. He proudly declares his ignorance as disproving evolution. I hear this time and time again. Your ignorance is not proof that the other person is wrong! It takes a special level of idiot (read Christian) to think this way.
